Statement of Faith

THE BIBLE:  We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Tim. 3:16).

THE TRINITY:  We believe that there is one true God, existing in three persons; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

GOD THE FATHER: We believe in God the Father. He is all-knowing, all-present, and is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. (God the Father is what most Christians are referring to when using the term God)

JESUS CHRIST:  We believe in Jesus Christ and that He is God’s only begotten Son. We also believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, teachings, death, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven. We also believe that our acceptance of Jesus is the only way to mend the relationship that was broken between mankind and God when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden.

THE HOLY SPIRIT:  We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by God on the day of Pentecost where He indwelled the believers/followers of Christ and He continues to dwell in the hearts of believers today. He also makes intercession between us and God the Father.

SATAN:  We believe that Satan is the instigator of evil and a real spirit being. He is a fallen angel who, under the permission of God, has been given temporary rulership of the earth. He was utterly defeated at the cross, but the execution of his judgment has been postponed by God until after the 1000-year millennial reign when he will be cast into the eternal lake of fire. In the meantime, he deceives the world and seeks to discredit and blaspheme God and to temp, accuse, attack, and destroy believers. He also works diligently to prevent people from accepting the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

SALVATION:   We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sins and salvation, which is the free gift of God. Salvation cannot be secured by a person’s works or personal merit. It is only received by a person placing his/her faith in Jesus Christ. “Those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born again, have their sins forgiven, become children of God, and are a new creation in Christ.
